Hi all,

I'm thinking about doing a 21% coconut, 44% olive, 32% palm and 3% castor soap. Cleansing looks like it will be 14 and conditioning 57 and hardness 40. I did a very similar palm/olive/coco recipe before and got great feedback, personally really liked it. I branched out recently and did a lard combination soap with castor at 5%, (first time using castor), loved what it seemed to do to the lather, but want to see if I can put a spin on this old palm/olive/coco favorite by adding castor and not changing the tried and true formulation too much. What do you think? Would you change anything? I am a bit terrified to increase the cleansing, I recently did a 20 cleansing soap and it is way too drying on my skin. I have these four oils on hand and a bit of lard as well. :)

I would increase your castor to 5%, 3 really isn't enough to do much.
For me personally, I would switch the palm and olive oil amounts, I find a lower olive makes a milder soap.
