I don't want to use any AO, but not that much palm either. After playing with Soapcalc I came up with this recipe:

Olive 32%
Coconut 28%
Cocoa Butter 19%
Canola 15%
Castor 5%

Soapcalc says:
Hardness 38
Cleansing 17
Condition 58
Bubbly 22
Creamy 26
Iodine 62
INS 144

Fatty acids:
Lauric, linoleic, palmitic, stearic all within 10-12
Oleic 40

This looks good to me, at least on paper. What do you guys think, should I give it a try?

I haven't used canola oil before but the rest looks fine. How much lye and water are you using?

MMS calculator gave me 64 grams of lye with 5% superfat. I guess I'm going to try with 33% lye solution. That would be 130 ml of water.

And my batch is small, 500 grams.

Canola is much less expensive than olive so I would definitely like to use it together with olive. And it's domestic, too.
