So I decided to try it with my lard soap and piped soap and everything else I have on the rack. Makes a huge difference, I planed the soda ash right off and also the side of my hand lol. I got a little too comfortable

Ouch! At least you've gotten your Rambo moment out of the way. And your soaps are totally worth it. :D

I always seem to injure myself whenever I get a new toy. It helps to shout...

Yikes!

I bought a planer - one that has a sliding bar to keep your hand from getting boo-boos like yours and the thing still scares the tar out of me! All it takes is a half second of inattention and wham - you're missing some skin!

Mine's sitting in the garage on a tall shelf gathering dust. For the most part, I'll live with the ash.
