I have a question... I made my own infused oil by picking fresh rose petals and covering them with vegetable oil and would like to know when making my soap do I count this as rose oil when calculating my recipe or do I just add it at trace like an essential oil?

You can do it as either, since the lye will eat whatever oil it wants to. I just wanted to say though, that if you're hoping for the rose scent to come through in the soap, it will most likely not survive the saponification process.

I would calculate the values of the base oil.

For example, if I infused rose petals in coconut oil, I would calculate the recipe using values of coconut oil.
Hope the info helps.
