I need a computer guru ASAP!

I need help before I throw this stupid laptop out the window. I have a redirect virus and I can't rid of it. I can't use any search engine without being redirected to random pages. :evil: I've tried every virus scanner and removal tool that has been recommended. I tried posting on a couple of tech forums but it's been 2 weeks and no repsonses. Can anyone help?

You might just want to reinstall your operating software from scratch. When I still had a pc, it had some sort of virus that I couldn't get rid of. Finally reinstalled the software, gave it to my brother and he's been using it without issues.

not as easy as on would think. It's a new netbook. It has no CDrom which makes reinstalling a royal pain in the ass. I guess if nobody figures out a way to fix it, I'll be off to buy an external CD drive so I can fix it.

I just needed the software that's already on your laptop; no need for a cdrom.
Save everything that's imortant in your email/usb stick etc.
Restart, press f 8 or f10nI think and reinstall according to the instructions...
