How do I add colored layers without mixing?

I'm new to making soap about 2 maybe 3 months into trying different processes. I recently tried & did my first colored soap with three different colored lace but I noticed my bottom two layers kind of mix and together and I'm wondering what is a good way to make sure that that doesn't happen?

What I normally do is stickblend the bottom layer until it is thick enough to be able to support the top layer without any bleed-through.

Are you asking about M&P or CP? If CP I do what IrishLass does, if M&P wait for the bottom layer to harden, and then spray liberally with rubbing alcohol and make your second layer a bit warmer (not much) than the bottom layer so it will adhere and stick without coming apart.
