Hey!

I've been playing around a little bit with the soap calc and i have a few questions.

What is INS?
What does the Iodine content do?
And how do i make a creamier bar? No matter what i seem to put in my creaminess is always at the low level.

Also, can someone help me understand these? I'm not really sure what i am looking for in them. Thank you so much!

Lauric 12
Myristic 5
Palmitic 14
Stearic 6
Ricinoleic 0
Oleic 44
Linoleic 14
Linolenic 0

INS in moisturizing value, higher it is less moisturizing it is.

My bar with highest creamy factor has a 90% lard and 10% castor.

Thanks!

Is it more beneficial to just stick with a couple different oils or add several?

Im newb in soapmaking so i stick with few (2-3) oils because its cheaper and easier to see what each oil does to properties of soap. With knowledge, its good to add more oils to fine tune soap and there will be less posibility for expensive material to go bad because of error.

Eh, and iodine value represent possibility for soap to go rancid. Number should be lower than 70.
