Hello, hello!

Hi everyone. I've been lurking here for a few weeks now and decided to finally come out of the shadows, as it were. I'm a novice soaper with about 8 batches under my belt so far. I got interested in making soap several years ago, for many of the same reasons as other members. I wanted to know what was in the soap I was using. I took a one-day soap making class aimed at hobbyists. Made a batch or two after that and then got involved in other things. I broke out my supplies again last year and don't plan on stopping again.

I really like making things, period. In addition to soap, I make jewelry (hello, hammers and fire!!!) and occasionally furniture. I'm also an avid reader.

Anyway, enough about me. I'm glad to be here and looking forward to gleaning even more soap-making wisdom from the collective.
