Here's a pic of my latest Goat's Milk soap. It's got grounded oats in it, and I used the husks on top for decoration. No fragrance, no colourants.
(Non-gelled, SaltyDog, and done in a wooden log mould) :)

And I was reading somewhere in this forum the other day, about BB's 'Cold Water' / 'Cool Water', and I have to say, I absolutely LOVE this masculine fragrance. It's my all time favourite Mens scent!

Love your GM and cool water soap.

My hubby used to wear cool water and I loved the smell. I soap sweetcakes cool water and it's so true to the smell it's amazing.

Thanks DragonKaz. :)

Yanno, I've never smelt 'Cool Water', the actual fragrance. But I reckon I'd love it! Might have to keep it in mind for Father's Day, or hubby's birthday!

I've never used 'Sweetcakes' FO. I must check them out. I wonder what, if any, the price difference is like to BrambleBerry...

OMG, dOtty,
I can't believe how frickin' great you are at this?! Seriously, unbelievable. Those soaps are so beautiful, I'd buy either one in a snap.

Thats it, I'm doing another GM loaf and I'm going to try to not gel. That shade is soo pretty. What are your tricks, do you soap cool? Chill the mold? Freeze after pour? All of the above? lol, sorry, but I'm mesmerized.

Thanks SaltyDog :)
Any 'tricks' I've learnt from this forum, lol!
Here's what I do though:
Goat's Milk bought in a carton from the fridge section in the supermarket. I measure it out and then freeze it. I then put the frozen milk into a container, with about a tablespoon of Distilled water. I sit it in the sink, in an ice bath. And gradually add the lye. It ends up a light cream/yellow colour...

All this time, my lined wooden mould is in the fridge.
I measure out my other oils, melt down the hard ones and add them to the liquid ones and allow them to cool down.
I mix when the lye solution is completely dissolved. My oils are probably room temperature, although I don't check.
Then I stick blend and pour it into my mould. And then it's back into the fridge for a good 8+ hours.

That's it. The only 'tip' I could suggest, is, if for some reason you feel the batter warming up, stick it in the freezer for a few hours and then into the fridge.

Here's another batch, without the Oats:

Beautiful Plain Jane soaps! Photo's are well done, too.

They look so light and creamy, and so perfectly non-gelled , there's no need for adornment.
Thank you for the tips, I am going to give non-gelling a try. It is so cold here right now, I would probably be better off sticking the soap outside in the shade to cure. I'll let you know how it goes. :)

Oh my - how lovely.... I love the look of both soaps and your stamp is adorable.

I love soap porn....

They're a little cheaper, but that's not the reason I use them, it's more about there being some sweetcake FO's I love, so decided to buy enough to make a decent order. Sweetcakes sandalwood vanilla is unreal!
