Food Coloring for Scrubs and Whipped Body Butters, Bath Salts

Hi,
Very new to this site and to the DIY Bath and Body. I just wanted to know is it okay for me to use regular food coloring to color my products? Little confused. If not what would be the easiest colorant to used for mainly Scrubs, Body butters and bath salts? Seems like liquis colorants are easier to use but I been research the liquid colorants on NG and most of those dont mix well with oil based products. If I cant use food coloring, does anyone have any suggestions on a place to purchase?:???:
