Facebook Likes and Amazon

Hey guys!

Anyone knows if Facebooks likes are useful at all? Or is it just for looks?

I know FB is a good way to connect with customers and all, but is there anything else to it?
Also, has anyone tried selling on Amazon? Is it worth it?

I find FaceBook very useful to keep my customers up to date with happenings so they know what they want to buy. My local customers follow me closely and ask me about products they see on the page.
