So, my husband and I took the kids to Wilmington, NC this past week on vacation and being there reminded me of how much I loved living there as a young girl. We spent a lot of time on Oleander Dr. and it made me want to make a fragrance for Wilmington. I knew vaguely that oleander is poisonous, but I thought maybe someone had made a fragrance of it. Well, I found out that it is actually impossible to make a fragrance because the plant is SO dangerous! One little leaf can kill a child and every single part of the plant is deadly! I didn't know that! We don't have a whole lot of oleander around here, but at least now I know to look out for it. I may never have known this if not for soaping, lol! Have you ever made a discovery like that from soaping?
