My DH lives this stuff and wants me to make him a soap with it.... I haven't seen it on the clay boards so I'm asking the community.
Anyone try it? Anyone have suggestions?? Thanks in advance

Hello, I don't see why diatomaceous earth wouldn't work. Use maybe 1 tsp/ ppo in a small batch - recipe that you've done successfully before.

diatomaceous earth is mostly silicone

Thanks for the feedback.... I used the powdered goatsmilk scoop and used 1.5 diatomaceous along with 2 scoops of goatsmilk for his batch..... Have it wrapped up and "cooking" now (cp soaper here) so we'll see this afternoon what it looks like

Make sure it is food grade and not filter grade. Breathing in filter grade diatomaceous earth is extremely dangerous! Prolonged exposure to this silica dust can cause silicosis. Even with food grade, I'd be cautious and wear a mask when using it.
