Has anyone made a 100% Crisco bar? I am looking to find a recipe for my face, which is so dry that it scales and peels... Do you think this would work?

It's a blend of soybean and cottonseed oils and AWESOME in soap.

I agree....I make soap with Crisco, coconut, and castor, and it's very nice.

my first soap was all crisco, and it turned out really well. it doesnt have much bubbles, but is really creamy.

I recently added Crisco to my favorite soap recipe and I like it! Since it's cheaper than most of my other oils, it helps control overall costs too.

I but the 6 pound big container of Crisco at Sams. It was $6.00, or $1 per pound. I bought 2 cans yesterday there and it was $8.00 per can! I may buy the Bakers & Chiefs 50 pound cube of 100% hydrogenated soybean oil there. It is $42 for 50 pounds. Anyone use this?

The use of Crisco sounds like a fine choice for soaps. I have a great candle recipe where I throw in a little of it. Works great!
