I am a soap maker and want to make a line of candles to match my soaps, Can I use the same ultramarines and oxides I use to color soap in the candles for color? Would they work? Thanks for any advice.

I don't see why it wouldn't be ok. Although if you plan on selling the candles you make then I would use the chips that she mentioned so they look better but I only use the candles that I make for personal use and I'm not to picky about the color.

um, because they will clog the wick. and because you don't know if the colorants will be chemically changed into something toxic when burned.

for candles, use candle colorants

aromaworks - a bit OT, but I'm making Christmas gifts and am looking for an organic carrier oil or diluent for reed diffusers like you have. http://www.aroma-works.com/Product/Diff ... _Diffusers

can you point me in the right direction?

no, i'm certainly not going to "register" at the site. there is absolutely no reason to, and no reason to ask me to. i was not looking to purchase from you - that's not really what our forum is about at all. i'm hoping for some guidance that you can share with the forum members. that's what we do here - share. this isn't a site to get sales from.

I've made soy candles before and I've never had any issues with using food coloring and I think it looks just as good. I'm not trying to offend you (or anybody else), I'm just speaking from personal experience.

so you've managed to get water to dissolve in your soy wax?

seriously?
