coconut cream

hi ya has anyone used the coconut cream bars that you buy in asian food stores? Does this count as coconut oil in the lye calculator or as something else?

I use a similar thing, but don't count it as an oil, more of an enrichening additive. I use enough hot water to melt it down then either add it at trace if I am using fast moving ingredients, or into my oils at the beginning before I add the lye if I'm using 'safe' ingredients.

Do you know if I add it at trace should I adjust the amount of lye or not? Sorry Im a soap virgin

No, as it's an additive rather than a soaping oil. HTH
