Can I double a batch

I have a recipe for my 4 pound mold, but I would like to make enough soap for 2 molds. Can I simply double my 4 pound recipe and then divide the soap between the 2 molds? Thanks!

I double my batches all the time. Just be careful when measuring that you remember to double all your ingredients. I double check by weighing the total oils at the end before I add my lye mixture

When increasing or decreasing a batch, always run the recipe through a lye calculator such as SoapCalc. Doesn't take but a few minutes and can prevent errors in weights.

I write out the recipe or print it off and check as I add things..
