I don't know if this will work, I have it in the oven now, smells good.
1 cup Butter
4 oz Almond Paste
2.5 C Sugar
1 tsp Almond Extract
5 Eggs
3 C Flour
1 tsp Baking Powder
1/4 tsp Salt
1 C Evap Milk
Grate almond paste into butter and mix/melt, cream with sugar and extract. Mix in eggs, high speed blender for a few minutes.
Mix dry ingreds and add to sugar/butter, alternating with milk.
Bake for ??? I think about an hour (I'll let you know), 350.
I'm going to add powdered sugar and slivered almonds to the top.
It's a pretty basic pound cake recipe, but I wanted to use up some almond paste I had that was going to go bad.
Anyone know any good uses for Almond Paste? I like to mix with butter and cinnamon and spread in cresent rolls for breakfast on the weekends.
