Advice for cleaning up oil!!!

Hi! My name is Kristen. I am new to the forum so please forgive me if this is the wrong place. I have been making CP soap for awhile but I just had weird soap experience. Basically, I think it overheated and the oil separated and some settled on top. Now everything is oily!! The wood molds my husband just made me and the soap are covered in oil. Any tips for for cleaning the oil?

You can try wiping things down with alcohol, or I sometimes use an orange oil-based spray solvent that I buy at the hardware store.

I panicked and didn’t even think about orange oil cleaner. I used some newspaper and that got most of the oil up. I think I will wipe them down with a cleaner just to get up the rest. Thank you!!

I just wipe my molds down with a damp rag and then a spray of alcohol. Mine are all stained but it doesn't affect them at all.

I always figure oil is good for conditioning wood anyway!

True! I was just worried it might make everything smell a little like lemongrass
