ACV for soap. Does it make soap softer?

Never made it before. I've read some make it for hair shampoo. But does it make the bar of softer? Harder? Stinkier? Or no change?

Mine are harder. I made two identical batches, swapped out water for ACV with one. The batch with the acv is definitely harder. I love it.

Several people here use regular white vinegar in soap. There are calculations for determining how much additional lye to add to offset the amount of lye that the vinegar neutralizes. If you do a search, you should be able to find several threads on that topic. I am away from home without my computer or I'd fetch some of them for you.
