I had so much fun Tuesday night!! I got to play with my colorants I got from soap making resource and here are the results

I've been making a palm free, all veggie bar, so far I like it, great creamy lather, but its kinda sticky coming out of the mold.

Olive, Coconut, Shea, Cocoa, Castor.
5% superfat

Colorant: Activated Charcoal (1tbs, would use less next time)
Unscented

first poured the non colored soap portion, about 2/3 at medium trace
Then with the color, I did a high pour and then ran a spatula up and down and back and forth in the mold

Olive, Coconut, Shea, Cocoa, Castor.
5% superfat

Colorant: Nettle Powder (1tbs)
Scented with Lime EO (top) and Coconut FO (bottom) (the FO turned my bar darker on the bottom)

First poured the non colored soap portion, medium trace.
At mid to thick trace I gently poured the colored on top between low and high pour.

Olive, Coconut, Shea, Cocoa, Castor.
5% superfat

Colorant: Indigo (tiny pinch)
Scented with Lavender(top)and Patchouli(bottom) EO

First poured about 1/2 of the non colored portion in to the mold
Then a light pour with the spatula over top of that
stuck the spatula in the mold after pour and jabbed a few times up and down.

Olive, Coconut, Shea, Cocoa, Castor
5% superfat

Colorant: Madder Root Powder (1tbs)
Unscented (by accident, I was so focused on my swirl I forgot to add scent)

In the pot swirl
Poured 5 dots of red into the soap pot.
Dragged the spatula from one spot to another
poured into the mold.

Thanks for looking!!

Beautiful job! I think your new colors are going to work out well!

I, too, did a swirl soap one time and got so involved and I totally forgot to add the FO. It was so funny because everybody kept trying to smell it assuming there would be a scent to match the swirls.

Very nice, I love natural colorants and your experiments with different swirling effects.

I'll be interested to see how your indigo does over time. Mine faded to gray after a few weeks and the soaps were stored away from sunlight.

all the soaps look amazing.
My fav one is the indigo one. It reminds me of a wave... just inverted lol.
:)

Thank you everyone!!! Having a place like this to share my soap makes it so much more fun :D

They are all beautiful, but I love the pot swirl. I can't believe how intricate it is! I need to try harder with mine. My palm-free soaps are the same, just a little sticky out of the molds, but it is gone by the next day, maybe sooner but that is when I check.

I see this is an older post. I love all of your soaps, especially your Madder root swirl! They are all beautiful! :D
