Is anyone else here for personal use products only?

All of my family members have sensitive skin but a couple of us also have an intolerance to Aloe Vera, which a lot of products include. I have to check the ingredients of everything. With my scientific background, I decided making them myself would be easier. Our skin is a lot happier for it. I...

What soapy thing have you done today?

Oh no, don't feel like that. My first attempts at soap making were cringe worthy and even now I turn out some pretty ugly soaps. It's all trial and error (and fun). :)

What soapy thing have you done today?

I made that last week - a small 100g batch I added to a container. I also added a little bit of Shea butter, and a tiny amount of BB Bamboo/Mint fragrance. I'm excited to try it, but I'm waiting a few more weeks.

    Column swirl/embeds for the kids

Those are some great kids soaps. My daughter would love them. Your column swirl looks great, despite it being afraid of heights. I hope when I get around to doing one it looks as good as that.

    Carrot Oil & Face Creams

75% is a good % to start with. Just make a small amount to see if you are happy with it and if not adjust it up or down in the next batch. I think I'd add both your carrot oil and EO options as well.

    Soaping like mad!!

My dining table is half covered in soap and body care stuff which I have been using over the past few weeks. There are another 5 or so boxes/tubs in a cupboard under the stairs which I also need to dip into whenever I make anything. I feel as though the whole house may soon be taken over. I...

Need a check and advice on a recipe

I love apricot kernel oil and use it my soaps. Your recipe looks good to me (but I have only been soaping for around a year). I would also do as the PP recommends and add the castor oil for lather And possibly swap out 5% of the mango butter for cocoa butter just to make it a bit harder...
