After not making much soap the past week I finally sat down and made 5 different types of soaps today I can't wait to unmold them all and take pictures I tried a variety of FO and EO I sure hope they turn out okay, I mixed Eucalyptus and Orange 10x smells rather mediciny to me but we'll see...

Well I knew it had to happen sooner or later my first seize :-(. I was trying to do a 4 color swirl but I'm guessing either the coconut milk or half and half did the deed since I hadn't added the FO yet. Talk about a globby looking mess I have it out of the mold but I'll be real interested to...

Ok so I am mixing my Lye with a small amount of the water required for each batch of soap then adding GM after I add the lye to the oils and I have been having problems with my lye crystalizing in my pitcher before I stick it in the oils is this a lye problem or a me problem? any ideas? Thanks...

I am thinking of mixing up my Lye 1:1 ratio with water but I'm not sure how to use it in soap once I have one this? Do I just deduct the amount of water from the premixed lye? I'm very confused on this. Thanks Teri
