Just looking for some clarification on superfat. I soap at 5%. I have seen some recipes for the superfat as high as 10%. What does this do and what are the benefits?

Does anyone have a fast acting recipe that i could use for piping? Palm free perhaps?

I am new to piping and i love the way this looks on my soap but i find it takes several hours for my soap to get to the consistency that i need for thickness. Is this normal? On utube videos it looks like it takes about ten min. If this isnt normal then any ideas on what to do differently?

Ugh...i had such high hopes. My soap ended up getting to thick an then wouldnt swirl properly. Now it looks like giant blobs and it was supposed to be a gift. Sigh.

I was wondering where people get their soap colorants and how much they pay? I have only used mica pwdr from amazon and those tiny little bags dont last long even tho they come in a 24 pack. I have recently ordered TD but it hasent come in yet. Also the mica pwder pckg i buy doesnt have bright...

I was wondering what i could use as a partition for my soap as a newbie? Could i use a heavy cardstock? The design i have in mind would pull the partition out as soon as the soap is poured. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!!!

Hello, i was wondering if anyone had a half pound soap recipe using lard and other simple oils? Ex. Coconut oil, olive, castor. I want to try and make soap flowers so i did not want a big recipe. I couldnt figure out how to get a half pound on the soap calculator. Ty!!!!
