Xen Bath and Body had a 3.1 inch. Shipping may be high but might be offset due to the exchange rate. http://www.xbbs.ca/31-Inch-Stainless-Steel-Bath-Bomb-Mold_p_147.html

    %100 OO soap

I will test with Costco oil. Guaranteed it will be better than the store brand I get. The kind I get would be compared to Walmart great value brand. Will see what happens. Thanks for the tips!!

    %100 OO soap

I have tried to make this 3 times and I'm having issues. I think I know what the issue is but I would like confirmation. First batch was CP with a light OO ( bought the wrong oil by mistake ) it processed fine, took 3 days to unmold but crumbled when I cut into it. The bar is hard as a rock...

    Another new soap

I used the plastic sheeting you would use as a vapor barrier behind drywall. It's fire rated so we both figured it would work and it did. Hubby has a huge roll left after a project. I cut it in a way that the corners fold in together so no tape and no leaks. Works great. Line mold, unmould, wash...

    Another new soap

This one is number 3 and is Orange Poppy seed. Tried out a lard recipe. I hope the orange scent sticks. I added it to the poppy seeds before adding into the mix at trace.A shout out to my hubby who made me my soap box. Crude (he was limited by the materials we have in the house) but highly...

Stir next day to incorporate...

By hand because it was late and I didn't want to wake up the rest of the household. Bit of work but not bad at all. Next time I will use one of my old machines though.

    Happy camper!!

Pretty happy camper here! First 100 percent CO laundry soap done. Had a huge crack in the top within 20 min of placing in the mold and boy it got hot and hard fast but I smushed the crack together and continued on. Since I was grating it anyway the top didn't need to be pretty. Set up to cut...

    My first soap!

You know what I bet the FO did contain vanilla. I checked the website I ordered from and it has been discontinued. Probably why it was on sale. Will def make a note of it! I only have enough for another 3 lb batch so I will see what happens to the colour with another fragrance. Really I guess in...

    My first soap!

The cut........ Def not pink but I'm happy with it as a first. I prob should have added TD first maybe. Was surprised I could unmould it with in 10 hrs. It hardened fast. Scent is ok, artificial though but everyone in the house likes it. Now the 4 week wait begins.

    Coffee

Talk to me about coffee in soap as an exfoliate. Do you just use reg folgers like coffee, do you add straight from the can, brew then dry the grounds then add, thinking a tbs per pound of oil would be sufficient, correct? So sorry new to soaping with a ton of questions. I just got all my oils...
