    Milk Fat on Soap Calc

butter still has milk solids. The way you make ghee is by melting butter, letting the solids sink and pouring off the fat. Then you have 100% butterfat.

What do you tell your family?

yeah I get the 'what do you do with it' a lot at my stall. I always answer "I don't know what you do with soap, but I tend to wash with it when I shower"

    What is a liquid surfactant?

its something to combine oils and water. Does your recipe call for a lot of oils? It may be to prevent them floating on the top fo the bath as a lot of people kind of dislike that.

    Beer soap question

Intellectually...I know there is GF beer. And its probably good. But its like GF bread...I see it and I"ve always got this remaining niggling doubt..'will it hurt me'? And regardless of what the brain says, the subconcious screams NO! at me. So I never pick it up. Wimp huh?

    Beer soap question

Barley and barley malt are evil glutinous products. Rice however, is lovely and safe. *grins* and from a celiac standpoint: if its beer soap that's plenty of warning to me. Might not be for people buying /for/ celiac's, but not all celiac's stay away from glutinous body products either-...

    Beer soap question

I can confirm that this celiac won't touch beer soap - some friends want me to make it and i'm seriously debating it, but if I do i'll be handling it with gloves- I can't afford the rashes.
