my original rose scented bars just didn't smell enough. i figured I'd cut it into small cubes and use it as imbeds in a new batch.

my questions are:
will there be any issues with cutting the new batch? like will the old soap soften up to match the new batch? or will i be cutting hard old soap and mushing the new stuff?

i plan on gelling this batch. i thought that would help the old soap to incorporate into the new.

I made a batch using chunks of soap from this past year. It should be ready in a week, but it looks great. I think briefly wetting and draining the chunks helps, as does gelling. I much prefer embeds to rebatching.
