Does anyone ever use this color? If so, do you ever find small yellow spots in it? Spots that look like DOS but never really get soft? I've just cut one loaf colored with this and there is a spot of yellow right there on the fresh cut side. The soap is maybe 2 weeks old.

Thanks for any info!

I love hydrated chromium oxide - have two standard soaps where I use that, but I haven't come across a yellow spot yet. Where did you get it?

I've used it recently in a few batches. So far so good, but the soaps are only about a week into cure, already cut. No yellow spots. Got mine from Symphony Scents.

I've used hydrated chromium from TKB Trading, and haven't experienced any problems, one sliced batch is from December 2012. Some of my other batches aren't cut, they are poured into individual molds, but no yellow spots on the surface of those.

I've also used this colorant- from BB and no yellow spots. Not sure what that could be coming from--sorry!

Hmmm... weird. Well, thanks for your thoughts everyone. I'm not at home so I can't remember where I got it from.

I will watch it. Maybe it is DOS. If so; bummer....
