i made my first batch of soap yesterday and am now hooked i did the lard soap i found that really easy then i got ahead of myself and did a second batch this time with oils. Big mistake i must have put too much oil to lye it just would not set. i messed around with it and got it to set will wait a week before i try that soap. in a strange way it made me more determined to learn more that's why i joined this forum. oh and my name is Shella :wave:

What was the recipe for the problem batch? Maybe we could offer some advice. Also, you can try the soap in a week but remember that it's not going to be the best it will become after a full cure.

BTW, I think it's funny you're interested in making soap and you live in Bath. Seems like it was meant for you to make soap.
