I wanted to dye my soap using SFing oil infusion... so far so good
so if I do 10%SF to total batch, then remove 5% oils and mix the rest with lye I end up with 5% SF in total batch, and when I split the batch (to dye some and some to leave) I can add SF oils seperatly
so far so good yes?
I should go back to math school
I did 5% SF to total batch, then removed some of the oils to mix later with dye... bad bad...
I cought myself on time and added all the oil I intended to dye- back to the main pot- good for me (for not having a heavy/ no SF lye soap!!!)... but I'm still at 5% SF which is waayyy to low for peoples taste around here (most prefer a 10%- 12% I blame very hard water)...
I am hoping the EOs % will make up for this mess otherwise it will be a drying soap...
