Hii,
Browsing pinterest a few days ago (my new addiction), I stumbled across this pin:
http://blogsofsoap.blogspot.fr/2011/12/ ... toile.html
To my opinion, it really looks awesome!
But I don't have the slightest idea how you can make it, and the blog doesn't reveal much either.
Maybe something with a pvc pipe and a smaller one on the inside, but thats as far as my "idea" goes...
Does anyone know how to make it? It might be to late, or almost to late for christmas. But then we can practice a whole year till "perefection" for the next christmas.

Thanks in advance!

Here's my idea:

The real food looks like a jelly roll type creation, so a swirl in a PVC pipe might look good. Do a double pour, pouring two colors at the same time at a fairly thick trace into the top of the pipe, and then put a spoon or whatever down to the bottom of the pipe and swirl inside the pipe.

After you unmold, make a new batch of soap and bring it to really thick trace, then spread it on the log like icing. U

That is really cool. It might be easier to make a smaller diameter soap, then center it in a larger pvc pipe and pour another batch around it. But you could put a smaller diameter mold in the middle of a larger one if you have someone who can hold it steady for you.

Looks like a two colour pour into a large log mould, then a seperate icing layer in another session with deco's on top. Nice. It's a pity but that blog site does horrible things on my mac. This toolbar keeps popping up on the RHS on top of the scroll bar so I can't scroll down to see the rest of the pics.

If I was to attempt that then it would be as clarasuds and hazel wrote. Thanks for posting the pic, I am now looking for molds to try it :D
Phew....... hav'ent found any yet!

It will probably take a few stages to make this...
When painting you can use a certain item (i dont know what it's called) for making a certain wood pattern on your wall. Would that work with this soap?

I can't seem to open my bookmark right now but you can also try http://www.soapmoldsuperstore.com.

It's been like that for awhile. soapmoldsuperstore.com was connected with martincreativemolds.com which was Lorie Martin's site. I believe both links went to the same site. It seems she's closed her site but I don't know why. She hasn't been on the forum for a long time which is a shame. I spoke with her on the phone once and she was so friendly and enthusiastic. She was a lovely person and made intricate MP flower soaps.

I loved the flower soaps and she posted pics of some of them.
