I recently bought a bunch of EVOO for making soap. It was on sale and ended up being cheaper for a change.

That soap looks good even if it is not the color you were hoping for. I use a violet oxide. Seems to work great for me. But I can't seem to get it to go lavender instead of purple. I have tried using less but that just looks grey. Probably because my batter is so yellow to begin with.

What is the difference between "Extra Virgin Olive Oil" and plain old "Olive Oil" in making CP soaps? I have not seen any EVOO on any soap calcs I have looked at. Are they trying to just shorten the name or is OO actually the preferred ingredient? If it is does anyone know why? I have googled...

Well it's cut. Looks great. BUT It zapped me. Was it too early in the process to try that or does the time matter?

I used Honey tonight for the first time. The color was fine at trace but then I added Grapeseed oil, Romance FO & Honey. The soap batter immediately turned bright orange.
