Scenting bath salts in a rush without the clump

As amazed as I am by the numerous responses... I ended up going with dendritic salt as a "medium" for my scents. In case anybody in the future searches for something similar and needs help.

Scenting bath salts in a rush without the clump

If I wanted to be able to add scent and package up bath salts as soon as the scent was added, what would be the best way? I was thinking using a dropper, then closing them up, but I was afraid they'd clump all up. Could I maybe pre-scent some powder (arrowroot or similar) let it dry, then...

    Bath Bomb Questions

what wetting/bonding agent are you using? I use oil, because it doesn't activate the acid/sodium bicarbonate mixture. If you go with oil, use an emulsifier to prevent from breaking a neck with a slick tub.

    Bath Bomb Colourants

I use micas from the conservatorie. IMHO, if your tub stains, then I think it's more your tub than anything. If it's porous, then it'll stain pretty much no matter what you use.

    Bath Bomb Questions

What all are you using? It looks like you have some larger grains of something in there. As for the flat bottoms, you can either find containers that will fit the bombs and then use some padding. I used to crumple a paper towel, then lay another over top so I didn't get any wrinkles from the...

    Favorite Luxury Soap and why...

I've been doing a bastille goat milk for eons, but I'm slowly transitioning over to a recipe with cocoa butter and silk. I love my bastille, but no matter how long it cures, it dissolves VERY quickly in the shower.

    Using Silk Tussah in soap

Lindy, glad to hear of another weirdo! I was grooming out a friend's angora rabbit before breeding and it hit me... if I can make silk soap, why not angora? It worked well, and she gave me a bag of the shorter and knottier fiber that I had groomed out. :)

    slick shower

I do the emulsified version, plus add the slick tub warning. E-wax can be purchased through Soaper's Choice for really cheap.

    Chamomille Powder in Milk Bath?

Oh, I think you're right. I think she does mean directly in the water as in when you dispense into the tub, vs in a tea bag.

    Chamomille Powder in Milk Bath?

Milk bath as in real milk? I'd say that if you have something that is holding the microbial growth at bay with milk, then you'll be just fine with chamomile powder. Heat and hold after it's mixed in well. If it's not a viscous product, it'll probably end up at the bottom, but a gentle shake...

    Colorants on Bath Salts

I use the micas. The 80mm bath bombs with a lot of colorant don't color the water or stain the tub. Of course, I do have a soaker tub, but still, it doesn't provide any hue at all to the water.

    bath salt coloring question

I have never tried it, but have read that it will stain. I use micas to color my bath products without any issues.

    Conservatorie Co-op

I put the order in! I'll let everybody know when they ship and when it arrives. Then I'll update everybody as their packages go out. Thank you, everybody, for such a smooth co-op and for sharing in the excitement. Yep, I'm a weirdo, I'm excited for everybody else as well, LOL.
