I am talking about cedar oil that you can buy by the quart or liter for wood finishing applications. It is steam-distilled but I don't know if it is as light as the essential oils you can buy in little bottles for scent. I kinda think it is not, because it does not smell the same. Has anyone used it as the main oil in soapmaking? Not just as an added scent, but for the substance of the soap?

Cedarwood oil won't make soap. It is not a triglyceride fat.
