What is the 'Zap' test? Sorry, newbie here

Could anyone explain to me please, what the zap test is? Thank you

lick your soap! if it zaps like a 9V battery, wait a week and try again. if not, you're soap is not alkaline. you're basically testing to see if your soap is lye heavy. the longer it cures, the milder it becomes. for more wonderful reading on the topic, do a search for zap test on the upper right corner of the forum.
