What is a coat hanger swirl?

Srsly.

I see it mentioned now and then, but despite several searches on three different soapy forums, I can't find the method described.

Anyone?
 
Honestly, I'm not really sure but I think you use either the hook of the hanger and squeeze it closer together then drag through your soap.....or use one side end and squeeze it in, then use. I think I prefer to use a small spatula blade or a chopstick. I would like to see a pic of a coathanger swirl though....it may change my mind :wink:

AHA!!! Found it! Thanks, topcat! I was looking for a pic of a coat hanger swirl for you, so did an "image" search on yahoo. It came up with a couple of photos, but better yet, it came up with this thread on the technique:
