DMT is a a psychoactive (think LSD) component of some plants.
Shrooms are just one.

From what I can tell, these people extract the actives from the plants and then get high or whatever you call it on them.

I'm a fuddy duddy, I know - but even if I pretend to be liberal and all, that's over the top for me.
