Weird spots.

Hey there this is the second time I’ve made this soap. The first time the middle layer had a similar spot, but just on a few bars.
these spots are just the bottom layer, or so it appears. They’re present through all 3 loaves!
I’d love to figure out what happened.
I was soaping kind of hot. Around 115 oils, but lye/beer was 85.
recipe is %80 lard (triple rendered bacon fat), %20 CO. SL%2, lye %30, boiled and cooled beer for most of the liquid, ice for the rest of the liquid, EO blend cedar/rosemary/orange.
bottom layer had cocoa powder, middle layer plain, top layer had coffee grounds.

Any idea what happened on the cocoa layer? It’s fuggly.

Perhaps the cocoa powder was not well blended with the soap before pouring.

You may be right. I didn’t make a slurry ahead of time because both liquids were solid. But, I stick blended quite a bit before adding the lye solution. Darn it!
