Sticking to the side of mold

I have a log wooden mold and after I'm unmolding it sticks to the sides. Why is that?

Wood is porous. Do you line it? The easiest and cheapest method is to use freezer paper, shiney side toward the soap. Easy to unmold, then the paper peels right off.

I was using a liner I made I found on a blog using flexible cutting board.

So is the soap sticking to the liner or is it leaking out and adhering to the wood?

It is sticking to the liner.

If your soap is not gelling and/or if you are not using a water discount, that might contribute to soap sticking. I agree with the earlier poster, lining with freezer paper is probably a better bet.
