I have been reading about the use of a stick blender for adding scent and color to melt and pour. Has anybody used a stick blender for this? And does it work well?

I think that would introduce too much air into M&P, creating too many air bubbles. I don't have a ton of melt and pour experience, but I understand you are supposed to stir as gently as possible.
 
I agree that it would add a lot of air into the mix. I use a skewer to stir in FO and colour and minimize the bubbles.

I do use a tiny frother to mix my glycerine/oxide mix to make my colours though.

I agree...too much air. Just stir in.
