So, I posted a thread in the beginner's forum about buying the wrong lye, but I thought I might cross-post here with some extra information. I bought the wrong lye and now I feel like an idiot.
The lye I WILL be using (as I usually do) is the Pure Lye Crystals from Home Hardware. (Home 3kg Pure Lye Crystals Cleaner | Home Hardware)
There is a thread on SMF from 2008 (Where to find lye in Canada?) that recommended it and I agree! I thought since that thread was so old, and I didn't want to resurrect a zombie thread, I'd start a newer one if anyone is looking for the same thing. It's always good to know. Cheers!
