shampoo bars and extract

i have been wanting to make shampoo too. i was going to infuse some oil with horsetail, nettle and marshmallow, but now i am wondering if i should use extract.

does extract have alcohol? do i have to melt down alcohol?. which would be more beneficial after lye. how much extract for results?

and as for acv rinse, if i put acv in soap ,will it elimintate the need?

I think its good in either form...extracts will just be a bit more concentrated than using the herb-infused oil....

as far as acv...whats that stand for?? hehe...im abbreviation-impaired lol

Maybe acv is apple cider vinegar

aha!!! im sure thats what it is!.... ok then, if acv=apple cider vinegar... I would not advocate using this in soap as vinegar neutralizes lye, so youll wind up havingyour lye neutralized and your oils will not go through complete saponification !!

It would not eliminate the need for an acv rinse because one of the purposes of using the rinse is to rinse off what the soap has left on your body.
