Do you think this recipe will be a slow enough tracer for cpop swirls? I want to try swirling for the first time today. I'll be adding sugar and sl to it along with silk. Sorry for the copy/paste recipe. Every time I try to upload a recipe, it says "invalid file," driving me mad.

For sure that should give you loads of time it is almost exactly what I use frequently. I should say it will also depend on fo or eo and temps. Have fun

Thank you Meganmischke. I'm gonna give it a shot if my arthritis lets me ;)

I use a similar recipe, and it's a super-slow tracer for me. In fact, sometimes I feel like it's NEVER going to trace.

Lard, rice bran, and olive oil (but not pomace!) will slow things down. Coconut, PKO, and shea will speed things up. Given that you have more of the former than the latter, it should be fine. You could up your water amount if you want to slow things down further. For in-the-pot this should be good.

Uh oh, I better recalc my water then because I was hoping to try doing a tiger swirl as my first swirl.

Do yall think this one would work any better? Would this one be better or worse? 5% sf, 27% RBO, Coconut Oil 15%, Lard 45%, Castor 5%, PKOF 5%, Shea Butter 3%. I'll be using 3% sodium lactate and sugar in my lye water. Which one of these would you use or do you have better percents using these oils that give good calc numbers that won't leave my fam and friends either greasy or dried out lol?
