I have a ton of soap shreds, a half a container of fancy whole yogurt sitting in my fridge, and no whole milk. Can I mix the yogurt with water and use it for rebatching or should I get off my butt and go to the store? Any advice would be appreciated!

I was hoping you'd have a reply before now so I could read it. I make my own yogurt, so I always have a TON in the fridge. It's basically milk, with a few extra bacteria. (And preservatives, starch, carageenan, and xanthan gum, depending on the brand you use.) I've never done this before, but if it's just yogurt and the soap has already saponified, it should work. But you might get a tangy smell.

I was hoping for a reply too!

I did it anyway, and will report on the results! So far, everything has set up nicely and is curing away in the linen closet.
