I think I read somewhere that adding polysorbate 20 or 80 to salt scrubs would make a nicer product.

How so? Does anyone do that?

right now, I use primarily course grain salt and grapeseed oil.

Would I benefit from poly?

Polysorbate is an emulsifier (or atleast acts as one?) I have used it in bath melts and bath bombs and it helps the oils to blend into the water rather than just floating to the top. In your scrub it may prevent the oil separating from the salt (if you find that happens). I have never used it in a salt scrub so I'm not 100% sure, but this is my guess since I have seen it work in other products.
