Good afternoon,

I have been making cold pressed soap for over 30 years, never had an issue! phew.
I tried a new recipe and as far as I can tell the fat/ lye ratio is .44 in both.

The soap I have 'curing' is fatty, fatty, fatty and I need to know the way to try to salvage it.

Tallow/ Caster oil/ Coconut oil/ EVOO 2.25# total
Lye 5.11
Distilled water13.68 oz

I appreciate your help. ...

I have no clue what you mean by this.

But I ran your recipe through my soap calculator and the NaOH is correct when I added in a 5% SuperFat. Your water is high...I got 27.25% Lye Concentration. I recommend using a 33%-35% Lye Concentration.

I have to mention that using EVOO is a waste of money...save it for cooking where it will be more beneficial.
