I bought some powdered colours quite a while back while on a soaping course. Most of them were pigments/oxides, I am ok with those, but I have one here that is called:

"Dysol Violet 2B" - does anyone know what that is ? And what it dissolves in (water, oil, glycerine) ??? I want to do some soaping tonight and Violet is the colour I am after, but I am not even sure if this one is meant to be for M&P or CP and how to get it into the soap....

i dont know, but most oxides disolve in oil, try a little in some oil and see if it dissolves? add to batter after trace, for purple i found if its dark powder, less is better!

Sounds like it might be Violet 2?
If its a dye it's not oil soluble.
