I use just a little less, maybe a teaspoon per pound of oil. Just make sure it gets dissolved in the water before adding the lye. If you don't the undissolved sugar may carmalize from the heat of the lye and water...giving you little brown specks in the soap. :roll:
 
YAY!

OK I've been giddy all day. I used a bar from the first batch last night as it cured for 4 weeks. The soap was nice and dry and weighed about half as much as it did when I cut the bars. I'm assuming this is because the water evaporated out.

It was smooth and creamy with big suds and left my skin feeling and smelling nice. I was hooked before, but now I think I'm turning into a full on addict. I actually squeaked in glee when in the shower, the hubby thought I'd slipped or something because of the noise. :p
