MP and CP combined

Hi all.
I tried a batch today with a pound of M & P that I wanted to put into my CP soap. (not embeds). Just wondering if people have incorporated it into their final product and how it worked out.

I'll post a pic tomorrow. I did this in a 3 # flat mold. I can trim it..but the top got crumbly. Bottom line is that it is salvageable. Aside from the top, it is everything I wanted

Basically, what I did was do a CP recipe, wanted to do an in the mold swirl, so I layered it and swirled...NO PROB. But when I unmolded today, the top is crumbly....I like the look of M/P for it's translucency, should I look into doing my own glycerin soap?

A lot of people do it. I believe some of Lush's soap are a combination of MP and CP. I have done it with great results. I added the MP and then poured the CP in between layers.

Thank you....Didn't know LUSH was doing it...I will try again...I know what I want to achieve...just wasn't sure how to do it.

I am glad it turned out for you, I have added M&P on top of CP then used bubble wrap to make it detailed, but I haven't tried swirling it yet!!
