lye heavy laundry soap

I made a batch of laundry soap, 0% superfat, but it actually came out a tad lye heavy.

Can I use it for laundry soap or will it eat my clothing? I use the fairly standard1/3 each soap/borax/washing soda recipe.

Borax is used to neutralize stuff, so in the washing machine it will end up neutral. Not to mention that it will also be exposed to air during the processing.

But be very careful when you grate it. I did that yesterday with a non lye heavy soap and it was still irritant as I was breathing soap dust. I'll use a mask next time.
